Diploma of Software Development

The Diploma of Software Development is an industry recognised and valued course that includes Vendor (Microsoft) course content. The Microsoft courses included in this diploma have been mapped to the Microsoft Certified Software Developer (MCSD) certification pathways. The Microsoft training is recognised internationally as an industry benchmark for product specific training.

This course builds upon the knowledge gained from the Certificate IV in Programming course and takes students to the next level to better prepare them for job roles in industry.

Upon completion of the Diploma of Software Development you will gain credit transfer towards a University Degree.

Participants who complete this qualification commonly find possible job roles including; analyst programmer support, assistant programming developer; assistant software applications programmer, assistant software developer, database support programmer, web support programmer.

Note: Completion of this course does not guarantee any employment outcomes. Some employers may also require Vendor Certification (Microsoft MCSD for example). Associated Vendor exams are available during this course as an optional extra.

  • SACE Year 12 Completion or overseas equivalent
  • Literacy and mathematical skills equivalent to Year 12 in the Australian Schooling System.
