Graduate Diploma of TESOL

The Graduate Diploma of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is for students who already have a qualification and/or relevant work experience as a TESOL practitioner in a class room environment.

The course is also relevant for qualified teachers working in school environments where they are responsible for the teaching of English as a second language. This course provides an excellent understanding of TESOL theory and will give you a high level of skill.

Upon graduation from this course, you will be able to apply for credit transfer to courses such as Masters of TESOL at University.

Assessment
Skills and knowledge are assessed through practical sessions and presentations rather than exams. Students need to be able to demonstrate they are competent in each of the areas of the course to graduate.

Entry Requirement

  • A graduate qualification (degree) or equivalent - 3 years full time work experience as a TESOL practitioner in a class room environment
  • International students MUST have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent.
  • International students with less than 6.0 IELTS can attend the AIBT language centre for English to gain the required score.
