If you have dependants and are intending on bringing them with you while you study you need to be aware that the age of compulsion to attend school is currently defined as a child who is at least 6 but not yet 17 years of age. Dependants who are not Australian Nationals are also required to pay fees at government as well as non government schools. Generally members of your immediate family (husband or wife and unmarried dependant children under 18 years of age) may accompany you to Australia for the duration of your studies. If you have children aged between 6 and 17 years you will be required to show that you have made suitable arrangements for their education in South Australia.

  • Tuition fees for Dependants

The fees for Dependants will depend on the children's year level and whether the parent is on a Australian Federal Government Scholarship. As a parent you will need to complete the Dependant application form for each child and forward it to the International Education Services, South Australian Department of Education and Children's Services (DECS) with a copy of your Confirmation of Enrolment to Adelaide Institute of Business and Technology or your Visa for entry to Australia. If you are on an Australian Federal Government Scholarship, a copy of these documents will also be required. Please refer to fees and term dates for further information.
