English for Academic Purposes (Elementary to Advanced)

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course gives you improved reading, writing, listening and speaking skills for academic purposes so you can successfully move on to study at University in Australia, work in a business organisation, or for you own personal development to live successfully in Australia.

The EAP course aims to help you increase your basic communication skills with an emphasis on the importance of academic vocabulary and grammar. You will learn about Australia and Australian culture and laws and will be able to read and write more complex texts. You will also develop your skills in classroom participation/discussions, making presentations, active listening, asking and answering questions, note taking, essay writing, report writing, academic research and referencing.

The program is up to 52 weeks long made up of 4 terms, each 10 weeks long. You can enrol at any time and exit the program once you have achieved your required skill level.

Course Content
AIBT conducts an assessment at entry to determine your skill level and makes a recommendation on enrolment.

When you reach the required level of English, you gain direct entry to AIBT business courses.
